Job Description Summary
Are you prepared for a highly dynamic position where you can develop the future of diagnostic solutions in the EMEA region?
The Program Manager is part of the extended Project Management Office (xPMO) within the Professional Services team of EMEA Diagnostic Solutions (DS) and will have two main missions: 1/ successfully deliver customer implementations of DS complex solutions within the diagnostic market; 2/ establish and maintain a structured approach to program and project management within the EMEA DS Professional Services. The Program Manager's mission encompasses both internal initiatives, such as standardization of project & program management processes, and external customer complex projects and programs.
Job Description
Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will be pivotal in leading complex customer implementations and internal initiatives. Your main responsibilities include:
- Lead the flawless implementation and installation of complex automated diagnostic solutions at customer sites, including BD Coordinated Microbiology Solutions, BD Kiestra Lab Automation, and BD Molecular Diagnostics Solutions.
- Guarantee the smooth standardization, implementation, and instruction of project and program management methods within the Project Management Excellence Framework (PMEF), encompassing standardized procedures, tools, and templates.
- Lead project/program from launch to successful completion, ensuring a smooth handover to the Lifecycle Management team.
- Plan and schedule activities and resource requests, managing day-to-day execution per established standards and processes.
- Align and manage all cross-functional activities to deliver solutions on time and within budget, meeting all technical, operational, business, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate preparations and arrangements prior to installation, aligning technical requirements, IT connectivity, and network setup.
- Lead a cross-functional team of subject matter experts from various domains, ensuring flawless execution of activities within the project scope.
- Support communication for all project-related activities with internal and external collaborators, offering timely updates and reporting on progress, challenges, and potential risks.
- Develop and enforce guidelines and norms for program and project management, encompassing the creation of the Project Management Excellence Framework (PMEF).
Preferred profile:
- Project management certification such as PRINCE2 practitioner, PMI-PMP, or IPMA level C or D. or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in a technical or scientific field.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in project management, with a customer-facing role and preferably in a people-management role.
- Proficiency in English and French.
- Readiness and capacity to journey within the EMEA region (up to 25-50%).
- Experience in the regulated environment of the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, or knowledge of IT systems and microbiological laboratory processes.
- Strong servant leadership skills, with the ability to build a safe and valued workplace culture, empowering team members and encouraging individual growth.
